Testing blood glucose levels is critical during sedation cases for Type 1 & Type 2 diabetics. The more information you have on your sedated diabetic patient, the safer the patient is. Diabetics exposed to sedation should have glucose levels checked prior during, and post sedation procedures. There are many blood glucose monitors on the market and this glucometer meets standards to safely determine glucose levels in a sedated patient.
